So based on what you mentioned below :
Persons who sent their apps, now if they become curent in Oct, they will process those applications. And all others appls will be returned by Oct/Nov 2007 ?

I have always been of the opinioin, that the most correct thing for the USCIS to do at this point is to not return the applications, but hold them until Oct. When the window technically re-opens, just swallow everything that is on hold - the window technically only needs to open for a few seconds for that to happen.
The other thing they should also do is accept all 485 applications till the end of July and process them likewise.
Giving everyone EAD/AP benefits does not hurt....they can then line up all the 500-700K people and issue the green cards as per visa number/PD/RD availability...

The following are your words, aren't they? I am not sure how anyone could read this anything other than a suggestion that people in ROW category are unskilled and a worker from a oversubscribed country is skilled. You may be the most skilled, intelligent and smart person around here but rest of us can at least read and gather what you are trying to say.

I know you were talking about EB3 ROW but there are ton of engineers, software designers, and many more who applied in EB3 (some by skill sets, some by force, and some by choice). They are not unskilled people by any stretch of imagination.

Just based on the definition given by DOL I decided Level III and Level IV to be EB2. Besides I am EB2 and my wage level is Level IV. I agree it is hard to conclude the cat based on wage level, I saw there were some Senior welders in Level III as well as Vice presidents of the companies. Quite a contradiction isn't it!!

I've the same question. If I complete an online Masters in info tech from a reputed university, with the SKIL bill, can I jump the queue?
Will a part time MBA / executive MBA from reputed university do any trick for the existing H1b holders? I am not asking this for GC, but it is mere co-incidence with SKIL bill and my intention of doing MBA.
The very first para in August 2006 visa bulletin says...

MY COMMENTS:
In may it was Apr'08, then it was Apr'15 and now it is again Apr'01. So when the dates are in April 15, more people have applied for 485(than I have imagined) to consume the VISA availability quota. I wonder, if those many people are there from 2001 April and before to consume the quota, then when will the datel move to May'01. Forget about the visa dates moving to July/Aug/..Dec 01.
If the SKIL bill or any other provision is not passed into the law, it is always better to have a secondary plan to save the career at least. It is better to think our family and career assuming what we will be doing if the priority dates does not cross Dec'01 in the next five years.
I personally think to move back to India if I do not see anything by march next year. Already I am in the end of seventh year. If the SKIL bill is not passed, I donot want to do a MBA here by spending 40K(partime ,100K fulltime) and then doing a sr.software er job. With the spagetti law, I cannot change my roles whatever qualifications I add after applying for my GC. If you scan the PERM data from fldatacenter. There are approx 3200 EB2-I (wage level IV)certified labors for PD up until 06/01/2006. Not sure about BEC certified labors. Based on the perm data ,DOS just needs approx 10000 visa number to clear the EB2-I PERM cases. I think DOS is right on.
Note: some of you have considered Level III in their calculation which is not correct. Because I am EB2 and my Labor says level IV for wage level.
We should also add the recent upgrades from EB3 to EB2.
It is possible that CIS was not consuming visa numbers fast enough to keep DOS satsified that visa numbers would not go waste. To make sure, there is no wastage, DOS may have turned its attention to consular posts and pushed the date to June 2006 so they would generate demand for visa numbers.
There is a very important change starting this year. Spillover from EB1 and EB2-ROW goes to retrogressed EB2. Before this year, EB2 ROW spillover would go EB3 ROW. This is a big change that will result in a larger number of EB2 approvals compared to previous years.

In Ohio, after 16 years Dems - Mr Strickland is elected. Wondering whether he is pro immigration or not.
I looked at his website, he do talks about Child welfare, Create schools that work for every child, creating jobs and further he says - "skills for high-quality jobs" and "create/attract jobs worthy of Ohio workers ".
Does it really mean he is "Pro- Immigration"? and whether its advisbile to contact him or its "TOO Early" to contact conressmans in your area?
Bit confused..needs decide our strategy...Does IV core team & Team members will help every individual on this "sensitive" issue?

The perceived opposition to CIR was blown out of proportion by the conservatives and their media cronies like Lou Dobbs. He came up with a prediction in the past that EB3s will see a significant forward movement towards June-July or at least before this FY.
Now he says there won't be any significant movement even in the next FY.

I have EAD and AP, but i never used it. Still working on H1.
My wife used EAD but never went outside US..so never used AP.
1) In EAD form, for Q.15 Current Immigration Status for me and my wife?
2) In AP form, for "Class of Admission", what should I write for me and my wife?

I have applied AP two times so far. I have always got my AP started date is same as expired date of previous one so in a nut shell, I dint loose a single day. I have always sent a cover letter explaining the different dates so that might have been the key.

We moved to Florida from California last week. Did AR-11 yesterday. We are about to file AP, our I-485 is pending at NSC but Florida comes under TSC.
So not sure where to send our application.
Intending to send following supporting documents.
1. 2 PP Size photos
2. EAD copy as we switched from H1B to EAD
3. I-485 receipts.
Should we include any additional docs like Copy of your previously issued AP or passport copy (1st ,2nd page and last 2 pages) or Last expired I-94 copy.
Any advise would be of great help.

I think all of us seems to be responding with full force when the core asked to call just one member Rep Lamar Smith..
Earlier when there was a long list of 8 to 10 members, folks takes a time to react and start calling in heavy numbers..
May be in future.. They can just give 2 to 3 reps and focus heavily for 2-3 days and then in second phase , second list targeting 2-3 members more.... and eventually one person gets the task to motivate members on one perticular sets of members and some one else can motivate for anohter list.

So folks... Why wait when we can swing it and finish it off once for all..

we have 4 people posting here in thread... that wont do.... meetings are once in a while things... we need constant participation from others here on IV.... this place is the center point for us. If you are busy, mark down your cellphone calendar for a daily time when you can visit IV and michigan chapter thread to keep yourself and others updated....

I have had all good experiences with fragoment till now, and I have been dealing with them for a couple of years now. They were very professional i should say. Again I work for one of the top 3 financial firms , and my employer has fragomen as preferred law firm.
I work for the Wall Street Investment Bank, I don't see any reason why Fragomen is a bad one, most of the banks deals with them.
Bad for some people, doesn't mean it's universal for everyone, for that matter that can happen to any law firm. :-):)

Even I have seen people at my client sites, filing 2-3 years after me get labors and I-140s, do a little 'I am going out to better job' dance and move on, while I have to turn down offers (with 30-40K salary increments !!)

Got the same letter from USCIS asking for $5000. If they are asking all the people who sent this request the this kind of money... I wonder how much money they are expecting from this "Program Writing" thing??? IV and We all have to question this insane tactics and this needs to be exposed to press and politicians. I don't think Murthy or AILA or some others do any benefit to us it is already proven many times.
