Is this true? Can we include the interest paid in India's property loan in our tax returns 1040 in US? I was thinking it was not possible? Can someone confirm this..
Not sure about which bank would be good but whichever bank you choose make sure that they give you a statement of how much interest you paid over the year. Most people don't realize that you can deduct interest paid for a home loan in India is tax deductible in the US. Just FYI.

Arrived to USA on October 1999 at H1B. Started the green card in 2000 under EB2 but due to dot com burst changed the Job. Started again GC under EB3 in 2002 but the attorney and the company took one year to file the paper to USCIS.

Last year therer was the July VB fiasco..Thisyear its this...no surprises at all...they dont want to follow process...coz OMG that will need effort...just approve those whose files u can lay hands on.....with utter disregard for PDs....

Guys good news from my side. Just got most awaited Card production Ordered emails for my wife and my son. I have not received the email for myself though. When I checked the status on Case Status Online site, I found that 485 for all three of us have been approved.
My priority date was Oct 2004 at NSC. Came to US in Feb 2000, so almost 8.5 years of waiting is finally finally over. I hope that NSC picks up the pace and approve all the people who are current.
Trust me!! I am not going anywhere. I will enjoy my green but at the same time will always work relentlessly to get the immigration reforms. I also prey from God almighty that all my friends/family members stuck in EB2/EB3 will also get their GC ASAP.
Wish you all the best, even though I have crossed the fence towards the greener pasture, I am always there to lend you a hand and help you climb up and jump across the fence.

As far as I know, I am pretty aggressive in investment and I am getting @15% right now.. which too in a very unconventional ways.. by investing in forex and start ups with a risk of loosing nearly 80% of the investment in a day. when you 100K-200K and get returns like 100k.. dude that 100%-50% investment.. please let me know where can I do that.

The reason CIS isnt processing EB3 for last 3 months is because the dates are U and since they have lot of pressure not to waste visa numbers they have put all resources into EB2.
I have seen EB2 cases filed in May-08 been approved.
But i know this is unfair for EB3 people like us waiting for over a yr.

I have seen some really well written letters from CORE before. If core can help us - we will all put in our two cents and can come up with a really good letter rather than rush in one!
