Domicile Certificate i.e. Certificate of nationality shows the date of birth.Can this be used instead of Birth Certificate?

My h1-b is expiring in decemeber, i applied for renewal 4 months back but it is stuck in security check. I can apply for 485 as my 140 is approved.
1. if i apply for 485, then EAD can also go thur sec check?
2. after 240 days if EAD is not available what are my options?
3. I am planing to get married but cant bring wife on h4 as my h1 is not current, what are my options? if my 485 get approved or i use my EAD i wouldnt be able to bring her?

what are the security checks involved with the green card process, and when do they come up?
up sometimes during 140 stage(security). But 100% during 485 stage.
The check I know is called "Name Check" done at 485 stage.

My currently salary is significantly higher than the salary specified in LCA. I am planning to go for stamping next month.
Will it be a problem with big salary difference during stamping? Is it required to file an amendment.

I'm surprised no organization is following up with USCIS about the prompt monthly updates on pending Volumes. So much for the push for openess during the 90 day initiative by the President !

We filed our 485s during the July 2007 fiasco. We moved after an year, so we updated USCIS with our new address by filling AR11 online for all the petitions(485s, 140)
My 485 status is in pending state but by husband's petition has a status of "Notice Returned as Undeliverable". Now it is more than 6 months since that update. Do I have to follow up on it? Any input appreciated. Thanks much in advance.

Dude / Dudette.. I dont work for MSFT but the general thing is .. wait for 180 calender days post your I485 and make a move using AC21. You don't have any provisions to move with AC21 anyways. Take it easy.

Hi there.....Even I want to find out if I-131 (AP) can be RENEWED without paying the fee when I-485 has been filed with the new fee structure. The USCIS site has not mentioned anything regarding the renewal fee for I-131 in this case (whereas it is clearly mentioned for the EAD). Is there anyone who can share his/her experience of AP renewal without paying the fee?

Hello,
We have our 485 interview's next week @ the Baltimore Field Office. My PD is current for EB-2. My case is pretty straightforward so hopefully should not be a issue.
Would appreciate any comments from folks in MD who have been interviewed @ the Fallon Federal Building in downtown.
Particularly - can they approve our cases right there & then.? Will they stamp our passports for approval since PD is current for January 2011.? Can there be any issued with visa number not available, etc. ?
Any advice is appreciated.

I filed my 485 on June 4th 2007 with NSC. It was transferred to TSC and received my Receipt notice. Now I am going to file my AP.
My question is where should I file my AP?. Do I need to file with NSC or TSC?.
