I guess USCIS is sending Receipt Notes according to priority dates meaning with 2006-7 priority dates will get receipts later.
My 485 reached on 2nd july...No Update yet.
Can I ask any one get RN with priority date later than 2006?

Hello All,
I am currently working for Employer A for the past 6 years and my current H1 is Expiring in May End 2010. MY employer says he will file the H1 in may starting. In the meantime I got an offer from a future employer B who applied for my H1 transfer in premium processing. We got an RFE and the new employer is working on that .
My question is that lets say After responding to RFE by my future employer B , god forbid say the H1 transfer is denied. Would this denial have any impact on the H1 Extension that my current employer A plans to file in couple of weeks using I-140 approved petition. Please advice ?

California taxpayers need to cover higher fees of private lawyers, who are hired by the state as the Attorney General's Office doesn't have the staff to handle all of the cases internally. In some instances, the state has employed outside counsel at hourly rates that reach $450 even while most of its in-house lawyers earn less than half that. Rates can be much higher, if the suits require private attorneys having a particular expertise.
Since January 2008, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has signed about $24 million in contracts with private lawyers hired because the Attorney General's Office says it's too shorthanded to take the jobs. The corrections department is seeking the additional help despite having about 80 lawyers of its own to handle a gamut of cases, with about a dozen of those assigned to prisoner-filed litigation.

I meant Papu..We have not yet heard from IV Core..I know funds may be an issue to do hard lobbying..can we use soft campigning like letter and Fax campign to turn attention to the legal issue..I thought it was time to pick up momentum now..

I can't help but notice that about 1/4 of recently processed audit cases were denied. As it goes now, I'll have to wait about another 6 month for a 75% chance to pass. Well for where the economy is headed right now it all probably won't matter anymore in 6 months.

My EAD expires on this December 2010, and my AP has expired on December 2008. I re-entered US on Feb, 2010 using H1B Visa and its HIB has expired on May 2010. I�d like renew my EAD and AP. I�ve got all paper ready to file, but I�m confused about Where Service Center/Office I should file to and pay the fees to. I�d appreciate your help.

Hello,
I e-filed my AP on March 4th ( this was my 2nd AP application; the first one was paper file in July 2007)
When i check the case status online it gives me a message "your case can not be found".
Any idea what it might be?
I tried several time calling the 1-800 service number but I am not getting to talk to a real person.

If your I-140 is approved then you can renew H1B for 3 years, else it will be in one year increments.
You can continue to keep h1B as long as an underlying GC application is pending.

Guys,
I feel that I am in serious trouble.
I am an employee of a company which was recently raided by uscis. My 6th h1 expires April 2009 and we applied for 7th year h1 extension based on
the approved labor (labor filed in March 2008).
I am not sure at this stage, that my h1 will get approved since the company is under the scanner.(I checked the LCA and It shows the work location where I am working and not from IOWA which is good)
So..what are my options now
1) Can any other employer file for extension based on this company's approved labor?.
2) If I join the other company, what documents do I need to show to USCIS that the labor is approved from my old company(the company under scanner)?
Please let me know..what you guys think...Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have filed for 485 /EAD and AP on july 2 2007
receipt date is July 2 2007
Notice date is Aug 29 2007
I see the processing time is 90 day at Texas
I called USCIS and they tell me that they count processing time from the Notice date and not from the date when the case was filed
We have travel plans for this Dec
Can some one pls guide me how and when i can get my AP soon
