My H4 is expiring on 6th May 2011 and am planning to enroll in university in summer semester starting june 2011 and would be filing change of status also. my question is in case my F1 doesnt get approve before my H4 expires, will i get of status?Can i stay legally after H4 expires and before F1 gets approved?Pls advice.

You can extend status while living at US, but for re-entry after international travel (after November 26, 2009) you must get the visa stamped on your passport.

For the past few months, there have been no green cards available for persons in the employment-based third preference category (EB-3) and long backlogs in the EB-2 category for persons born in India and China. So, with few green cards to grant, why has the USCIS been scheduling interviews for persons in these categories? Hi Everyone,
I have completed my 6yrs H1-B and currently have 1yr h1-B extension until Jan, 2010. However, my PERM application for Green card was filed on Jan 2008 and is still on hold.
Given the above case can I still transfer my H1-B to a new employer with 3yr extension? I have heard that after the 6yr period H1-B is over sometimes there are cases where 3-yr or new 6yr period H1-B are issued. Can someone advice me whats the best scenario for me?

Illegal non-immigrants did the rally to local USCIS offices. It would be good if we pick one day in 2nd week of July and have a rally to local USCIS offices. This will immediately catch the media attention.

I and my wife are on h1. I want to come on her h4. She recently applied for h1 extension as her employer is nonprofit org and has some policies of his own, he files every year. She filled in may�09 and got receipt number, as the case is still pending who we can apply for h4 now. Is there any way around to apply for my h4 while the case is still pending?
You can file your H-4 based on the H-1b receipt of your spouse, this is not a problem. They will approve your H-4 for the same duration as your spouses H-1, you will get an approval of H-4 only after your spouses H-1 is approved.
