I think more than 90% of companies in service industries have more than 50% emps in H1/L1. The fees may be indirectly passed to the employees in terms of cut in salary or cut in profit sharing.

Anyone knows whether there is any fee increase for premium processing?

I will be leaving for DC in a couple of hours. Need to pack, get gas tank full, and decide what clothes to iron and ton of other mundane things. Thanks a lot to all those people who participated in this 401K round. If you found these shots, guns and jokes etc. amusing, thank you for your support. If you think it was silly, I appreciate you, for keeping those thoughts private.

I usually don�t share my private life. But just to let you know, I postponed my foot surgery on Friday so I can attend this rally. (First and last time on this thread to send some people on a teeny-weeny guilt trip). People under going heart surgery and people who tend to look at the roof (Ref. My previous post) are excused from this guilt trip.

one of my friends 485 check is signed and mentioned correct amount($395) but he is not written anything where he has suppossed to write department of home land security.

what are the chaces of his 485 get accepted.?

Sorry to say this but i do not think EB3 India or any other Catagory will move much in this coming April 2009 Bulletin, Reason for this is if there was any possible movement then this would have atleast moved by 1 month in the past 4 months.

EB3 dates has not moved any further in the past few months and i don't think this will move any better before we see Bulletin for Sep 2009 as thats thier fisical year.

I hope you guys are right as you can see mine is dec 2001 EB3 India but have stoped dreaming.

Sorry if i have been any bitter to any of the guys here on the net

what king meant was that anyone could apply for 485 and get an EAD which has no work restrictions as a H1 and enjoy the same benifits someone with a GC holds..down the line(after years of wait) even if the 485 gets rejected he/she has njoyed all the privilages or work/travel by getting his/her AP/EAD...

well damn you king, issue GCs faster then!

I read here that King said that everyon on EAD and AP is getting a free ride even thought here green card might get rejected. What does he mean by that. I tahught every process goes thorugha security check. such as I 140, H1b, AP and even EAD.

To those with H-1 extension issues:-
I applied for H1 extension 6 months ago and a month back changed to premium processing. I had got an RFE from regular dept and very same day made my application to premium processing. Now my application got approved without having to respond to RFE.
The RFE was employer-employee relationship and thats one bad RFE! Premium processing dept people are more experienced and better. Go premium on your H1!

Also, when on H-1 you can get promotion. there is no issue. It is called natural progression in job.

Have fun guys. In my opinion grass always looks greener on the other side. I think US is always better. Also, if you are single and EB2, you can make use of cross-chargeability to get your green card! Goodluck.

I dunno about which bank is the best but I guarantee this ICICI does sucks! they act like as if they are ruling NRI. and of course like anyone else we had a very bad experience talking with their home loan dept too. Honestly - If I may say something about this....I can say this with 100% confidence that sooner or later we all will witness their demise. count on it.

The point is that they cannot JUST do this to us(NRI) or I can say it is we who made their success if they are really. but by the sheer power of community like this - we can definitely teach them a good lesson by just quit banking with ICICI. guess what you will be proud of what you did in the very near future. Well, SBI still IS doing reasonably and you still can get better rates though.

The Democrats falsely accused the anti-amnesty forces of "opposing immigration" and "racism." Actually more Democrats voted Nay.

I though Kennedy was pro immigration...looks like he just cares about illegal immigration..

Kudos to USCIS though for keeping themselves employed. They have made such a mess of what could be a simple immigration planning process, by introducing layers upon layers of groupings, arbitrary allocation number limits and what not. A similar but perhaps even more complicated rocket science mess exists in another govt entity - the IRS.
