Can some one file for H1 transfer when his/her H1 extension is pending?
Also there is a RFE on H1 extension which the company is responding.
Original H1 expired 2 months back but have a valid I-94 till december.
Used AP to re-enter so I-94 has Parolee status.
please advise.

Can we file PERM with a photocopy of Passport that is about to expire in 3 months.
Is it advisable to get passport renewed and then file it or it doesn't matter? My lawyer has asked me to submit copy of my passport along with other document that will go with the PERM application. Just wondering if my lawyer files PERM after expiration date (mentioned in the passport copy) has passed (due to delay in paperwork etc). Or what if lawyer files before expiration date but case is reviewed by DOL/USCIS after expiration date is passed?
Off course, I will apply for a renewal of passport, but just wondering what would happen in the above scenario?

Hey,
I have a 290B pending at Texas which was submitted on 20 Nov 2007. I had a LUD on 27 Nov. Nothing happened after. Based on others experience (in NSC) it is taking about 4 months for something to happen. No clue about TSC. Just sit tight and have a backup plan. Good luck.

If you have receipt # you can check the status on uscis.gov, you can also call their 1-800 # to check what's going on with this application.

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted today to scrap the controversial REAL ID law which will require states to begin implementing tough new standardized technology requirements for drivers licenses in just a few months. I was recently on H1B and renewal/extension was denied. So I left promptly to go back to Canada to establish residence there and start working. Now I need to return to the USA to retrieve some personal belongings, wrap up my residence and bring a car back etc...
My question is, when I enter the USA for the first time after being denied H1B will I have a hard time and will they be reluctant for some reason to permit me to enter as a visitor? I can't see why they would but who knows???
My family is still in the US and I need to help to get them prepared to come back

What are the requirements for using this. Can one exercise this option, if still available in the following scenario when returning from canada - H1 expired, H1 extension filing pending, no receipt notice received yet for H1 extension filing, and I-485 pending.
